INOVFRUIT

Based in Mussidan in Perigord, INOVFRUIT works for years in close connection with the fruit producers of the South West.
Its activities are partly dedicated to the development of prepared fresh fruit, carefully selected prior to processing, then to their marketing and also to the availability of its expertise to microbusinesses, SMEs not having a R&D structure.
Inovfruit is a limited liability company with capital of 122,500 € which converts 500 tons of products (mainly Chestnuts), of which 80% are sold for export (EEC - USA - CANADA - JAPAN - SOUTH KOREA) for a turnover of 1,800,000 €, and employs 20 people.
Inovfruit applies the HACCP procedure and is approved by AGROCERT for the range of organic products (in strong development).

The "Chestnut" transformation activity

The immediate pleasure of peeled fresh fruit

The only one to master the technology of cold peeling of fresh chestnuts, INOVFRUIT offers the consumer a very trendy traditional fruit. By selecting the finest specimens, and eliminating the chore of peeling, INOVFRUIT only retains the pleasure of tasting a chestnut with its preserved flavor, free from the constraints of its preparation.

Inovfruit develops its range

"The Pasteurized Cooked & Peeled Chestnut"

At its creation, Inovfruit suggested to its customers "the Pasteurized Cooked and Peeled Chestnut" product then recognized as an innovative product by SIAL 2000. Today, it is well known to them for its ease of use and for its outstanding taste. Packed in boil-in-bag packages of 200g, several presentation cases are proposed: the 400g case and the 200g catering packet. This pasteurized or partly-preserved product can be refrigerated for several months. Proposed for sale at the fresh product aisle, the fruit has not been through any chemical treatment, and contains no artificial coloring or preservatives.

"The Sterilized pre-cooked Sweet Chestnut"

Subsequently, at the request of its customers, Inovfruit has developed "The Pre-cooked Sweet Chestnut" to evade the refrigerated window presentation constraints. The "Pre-cooked Sweet Chestnut" is then sterilized, it is a canned good. It is packaged in the same way as its older sister. It is proposed in 400g and 200g pouches and can be preserved 2 years at room temperature.

"Sweet Chestnut Chips" or "FARCI-MARRONS"

To better meet the requirements of the housewife, Inovfruit adds the "FARCI-MARRONS" (CHESTNUT-STUFFED). This product is derived from the first two. Sweet chestnut chips generated by mechanical cold peeling are used for this purpose. It is a food ingredient to be used for basic cooking: stuffings, pastries. It is also proposed in vacuum boil-in-bag packages of 250g, and it can be preserved at room temperature for 2 years. It is a canned good.

The FROZEN or STERILIZED Sweet Chestnut Purée

Product derived from noble products, today, Inovfruit offers two types of Purée, a frozen version, and a sterilized version. This product, without sugar, allows users to decorate it their own way according to their needs.

Products issued from Organic Farming: "The Organic Cooked & Peeled Chestnut"

Wishing to meet the growing expectations of consumers, and in partnership with a group of motivated producers, Inovfruit launches "The Organic Cooked & Peeled Chestnut". The fruits are carefully selected and cultivated according to the specifications and methods inherent to Organic Farming. The company is certified by AGROCERT. The fruits, packed using the same techniques as the other products of the range, are available in 200g pouches. Reference widely disseminated in Germany, and soon in France, within the BIOCOOP network.

The RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT activity

Supported by ANVAR, Inovfruit has developed a new technique for the peeling of dry fruits (walnuts, hazelnut kernels, almonds). It is a technique that is still more concerned by the maintaining of health and organoleptic qualities of the fruits; and energy constraints implemented with respect for the environment.

Research and development for Inovfruit is also an extensive expertise on all fruits that today enables the company to contractualize R&D collaborative contracts with SMEs not having the sufficient techniques to innovate. Inovfruit then proposes outsourcing of R&D according to determined specifications.
